Following the results of the tender for the project "Reconstruction of the outdoor lighting system in Ternopil: Light without Mercury," LEDsvit brand LED luminaires, manufactured by Electronic Technologies of Ukraine LLC, were officially recognized as fully compliant with all European and Ukrainian standards.
The project is being implemented with financing from the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO), which set exceptionally high requirements for both contractors and equipment quality.
Thanks to their compact design, LEDsvit luminaires blend seamlessly into the city’s streetscape and the landscape design of its parks. Their elegant appearance is matched by their energy efficiency and advanced performance.
This large-scale modernization provides clear social and practical benefits: better lighting enhances safety and comfort for both residents and drivers across the city.
As part of the project, lighting was upgraded along 45 kilometers of city roads, with hundreds of modern LEDsvit fixtures installed — all carefully integrated into the architectural surroundings of Ternopil’s streets and public spaces.
The replacement of outdated mercury-based lamps with modern LED lighting solutions has not only reduced energy consumption, but has also significantly improved illumination levels and road safety, contributing to a more comfortable and secure urban environment.
